This mapping program identifies
crimes reported to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office. The data consists of
crime types that are considered to be of interest to the public. Only those
incidents with a valid address that matches the city’s databases are included.
The numbers represent only those
incidents where a police report was written and includes both committed and
attempted offenses. Not all police calls for service result in a written
incident report.
This information DOES NOT include
any of the Beaches communities.
The crime data is shown in a table
format to maximize its usefulness while preserving the privacy of citizens. The
data is updated on the first and third Monday of each month.
The table shows the number of incidents
within a half-mile circle around a center point specified by the user. The
center point is selected by entering an address or clicking on the map at the
desired location.
As helpful as this information may
be, don’t depend on statistics alone to make a decision about a neighborhood.

Because investigation may reveal
facts different than those originally reported, the data displayed here does
not necessarily reflect the final status of an incident, only its status at the
time of the information request.
